Course Objectives: 
At the end of semester Ss will have a general understanding of the following Applied Linguistics topics: •Bilingualism •Language acquisition •Psycholinguistics •Literacy •Corpus Linguistics And will be able to use fundamental concepts, terms, and definitions in these areas.
Course Content: 

The purpose of this course is to teach new approaches to different student needs such as course design in English language teaching, use of technology in language classes, and place of communication in the developing world and intercultural interaction. Students will also learn current approaches such as constructivist approach, content-oriented, task-oriented, problem-focused, holistic language teaching, multiple intelligence and holistic language approaches. The focus will be on English as a second, foreign, international, and academic language and the importance of culture in teaching English
