Course Objectives: 
Teaching the students the purpose of evaluating the developmental characteristics of the child by using the principles and methods of recognizing the child; emphasizing the place and importance of children's paintings in child's education; to recognize the developmental stages of children's pictures, to analyze these pictures as a language and diagnostic support; to teach the use of children's paintings in a way that helps them to develop physically, mentally, emotionally and socially, to gain the skills of imagination, critical thinking, expressing their feelings and communicating; giving perspective to integrate the analysis of children's pictures with educational programs.
Course Content: 
Understanding the place and importance of children's paintings in pre-school education and next steps; basic principles; common features seen in child drawings; developmental stages and symbolic expressions of child drawings; creative thinking, information that  children’s drawings can provide in cases of family lives, unexpressed emotions, traumatic experiences and so on; introduction of picture tests used in psychological evaluation, application methods and general information about the steps used in evaluation.
