Course Objectives: 
The aim of this course is to provide the students explore their personal approach/ approaches by gaining an understanding about contemporary counseling theories; have knowledge about basic interview and counseling techniques.
Course Content: 

Defining and comparing the psychotherapies. Psychoanalytic therapies. Psychodynamic therapies. Existential therapies. Person-centered therapy. Gestalt and experiential therapies. Interpersonal therapies. Expose and flooding therapies. Behavior therapies. Cognitive therapies. Systemic therapies. Gender and culture sensitive therapies. Constructivist therapies. Integrative and eclectic therapies. Comparative conclusions. The future of psychotherapy.
