Course Objectives: 
The aim of this course is to inform the participants about basic concepts, individual differences, educational approach and best practices in ID and ASD
Course Content: 

Basic concepts; individuals with intellectual disabilities; individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD); classification: educational, psychological, medical; prevalence and incidence; causes: prenatal, moment of birth, postnatal; screening / diagnosis: medical, developmental and educational screening / diagnosis; academic and non-academic characteristics; team and cooperation; educational environments; scientifically based applications; characteristics of families; attitudes towards individuals with intellectual disabilities, individuals with ASD and their families; family services, support and legal rights.
