Course Objectives: 
Family concept; family system theories; the adaptation stages of the families of students with special educational needs; the importance of family participation in the education of children in need of special education, theoretical and legal basis, rights and responsibilities brought to families in the law; the participation of families in the educational process of students with special educational needs; evaluation of the student; family participation in individualized family education plan (BAHP), individualized education plan (BEP) and transition plans; to provide families with teaching skills; preparation, implementation and evaluation of institution, home and institution-home based family curricula.
