Course Objectives:
The aim of this course is to provide learners with the knowledge about national and international laws and regulations in the field of Special Education and opportunities to develp skills in use of this information effectively in the planning and delivery of special education services.
Course Content:
History of policies and legislation for people with disabilities and special education in Turkey; national policies and regulations for people with disabilities and special education; international policies and regulations for disabled people and special education; Turkey's becoming a party to international agreements; individuals with disabilities in the world of legislation, the importance of special education practices and regulations in Turkey; general paradigm shift for people with disabilities; gap between policy, regulations and practices.
