Course Objectives: 
The aim of this course is to provide the students with a comprehensive knowledge of basic concepts, diagnosis, law, educational needs, assessment and provision of services in the field of Special Education.
Course Content: 

Basic concepts; individuals with special educational needs; language and speech impairment; physical disability / chronic illness; multiple inadequacies; emotion / behavior disorder, classification, prevalence and incidence, causes, screening / diagnosis, team; educational environments; scientifically based applications; the concept of family and the characteristics of families with children in need of special education; attitudes towards children and their families in need of special education; family services, support and legal rights.
