Course Objectives: 
The course aims to provide the students with the knowledge and skills related to the basic principles of teaching Turkish to individuals with special needs, teaching planning, implementation and evaluation processes.
Course Content: 

Activities for understanding the value of reading and writing development and reading for students in need of special education; improving vocabulary; grammar teaching; writing process, types of written text, preparing activities related to written expression skills; definition of reading skills and strategies; application of skills and strategies in text analysis; importance of individualized reading instruction: application and evaluation; critical reading; creative writing; reading text analysis methods; studies to improve listening skills; techniques / strategies to improve specific literacy in groups with special educational needs.
