Course Objectives:
At the end of the semester Ss will be able to recognize:
•patterns in English grammar
•sound patterns and structures in spoken English
•word structures
•sentence structures
•semantic characteristics occurring in word, sentence, and more extended discourse levels
•organizational structures beyond sentence levels
And, will be able to use one of the topics mentioned above in teaching English
Course Content:
English word structure, phrase structure, simple and complex sentence structure; tense, aspect, mood, voice, their values and context-dependent uses.
