Course Objectives: 
Students in this course are expected to develop understanding of morphological forms, functions, rules, sets, productivity and creativity in English and also cross-linguistically. Students will be able to recognize how morphological processes and outputs are relevant to the other components of the grammatical system, and use this knowledge in both theoretical and applied disciplines.
Course Content: 

This course is intended to serve as a tool to understand the basic concepts and elements of morphology as a subsystem of language, and the patterns of WORD-FORMATION and INFLECTION in English morphology. We explore the structure of words, how we create and (re)form words, and modify their meaning in English, in comparison to a few other languages.
