Course Objectives: 
The aim of this course is to teach the major figures of Turkish novel and the the prominent turning points of the genre. Following the projections of Turkish modernity, thematic and structural changes of Turkish prose writing and the rise of Turkish novel is also an issue of the lecture.
Course Content: 

Theory of novel, Turkish modernity and rise of Turkish novel. Biographies of major writers. Analyzing the canonical pieces.
