Course Objectives: 
This course is a survey of Modern Turkish literature from Tanzimat period to Republican era. The main goal of the course is to introduce the structural changes in Ottoman-Turkish literature after the phenomenon of westernization.
Course Content: 

A panoramic survey of Modern Turkish literature through Tanzimat to Servet-i Fünun to Fecr-i Ati to Republican era. Rise of new genres by Turkish modernization.
