Course Objectives: 
This course provides an introduction to literature written for children and young-adult readers with an emphasis on applying the principles of valuation to selected books. The course will focus on how children and young-adults respond to the stories and how you can meet their specific needs. The course also aims to create awareness of educational goals and assessment techniques to effectively monitor student progress. It provides critical overview of worldwide / national classics listed by Ministry of National Education. It helps the students to become a better teacher of literature.
Course Content: 

A Survey of literature for children and young-adults.

History of children’s and YA’s  literature and scholars who study on this subject.

Variety of  readings from children's and YA’s literature through various genres
